Let's Go To Malcolm Stuart's Workshop in Baltimore!

Hey, are you in town this weekend? Then you should hit up: Malcolm Stuart's Hoop Master Class!

"As part of this group participation and sharing, Malcolm will make sure the space we create is one where we feel free to not hold back, and to make plenty of mistakes, some of which will inevitably be beautiful as we will see. Unintended results are often gems, gifts from circumstance. We only need to create the circumstance and have a mind for noticing what emerges!

Malcolm's class aims to strengthen our inner teacher, choreographer, and movement explorer, and catcher!

Everyone has the potential to inspire themselves and build beauty from that inspiration.

Some main points that Malcolm will cover are:
repetition and movement evolution,
play/focused or structured abandon, i.e.,
License to Flail
deep knowing
traveling movement
grounding and foot work
visualization - and more!

I can't wait. I have been waiting for a class that seems to focus on adding style and confidence to your hoop practice and, I'm thinking this is it.

YES! Don't think about it - just do it! I used to be soo torn as to whether to sign up for workshops (money, hehe) - but I am ALWAYS glad I did! :)

You're probably right. Has anyone in history ever said "gee, I really regret signing up for that hoop workshop"? My only other concern is the "hoop master" bit. I'm not a beginner, but I am covered with so much winter rust I worry I won't be able to keep up!
